About Homesh


Homesh is a professional association of social workers specializing in rehabilitation.


Its membership is comprised of social workers who are employed in different rehabilitative frameworks, both public and private:
The National Insurance Institute, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Health, training and professional rehabilitation centers, associations that extend services to people with disabilities, local authorities, rehabilitation agencies in the community, and universities.


Homesh seeks to:
Serve as a professional and social framework for Israeli social workers engaged in rehabilitation
Preserve the singularity of rehabilitation expertise among social workers
Further develop and promote issues related to rehabilitation in Israel
Enrich the professional knowledge of social workers engaged in rehabilitation through dissemination of information, continuing education programs, seminars, conferences and professional tours
Encourage collaborations between institutions and agencies engaged in rehabilitation
Enhance the ties between rehabilitation workers and the Social Workers Association
Forge professional relationships with colleagues abroad
Publish a professional journal twice a year Homesh's daily operations are managed by a chairman and an elected Executive Board.
